The global textile industry size is huge, more than US$ 1850 billion and is growing every year, as per the various research data available on the internet. Approximately 20 million to 60 million people are employed in the textile industry worldwide, accounting for around 2% of the global gross domestic product (GDP). There are 60 major stock exchanges in the world, some of the largest are New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) – one of the world’s largest exchanges by market capitalization, Nasdaq, Hong Kong Stock Exchange, London Stock Exchange, Euronext Stock Exchange, Shenzhen Stock Exchange, Toronto Stock Exchange, Frankfurt Stock Exchange and Shanghai Stock Exchange. There are approximately 58000 companies listed in stock exchanges globally, 55% in APAC, 25% in EMEA and 20% in Americas. in India, approximately 200 companies are listed in stock market exchanges i.e. NSE and BSE.
