After two years of rigorous testing and trials Santoni, the leading Italian manufacturer of circular knitting machines, officially recommends Vickers Oils SPOTLESS NX 32 needle lubricant for use on their innovative INNOTAS machine.
About the machine
Santoni developed the INNOTAS, a single jersey knitting machine which has been designed to manage lint. Thanks to a patented self-cleaning system, the accumulation of fibres, fluff and lint, are eliminated from the knitting head. The machine doesn’t require scheduled maintenance, thus saving time and avoiding the complications that can arise from such operations.
About the lubricant
SPOTLESS NX32 is a high quality, easily scourable, self-emulsifiable mineral based needle lubricant. Based on high quality, highly refined mineral oil incorporating an anti-oxidation additive system, the lubricant has excellent stability, resisting oxidation and breakdown of the oil even at prolonged high operating temperatures leaving an excellent lubrication film. SPOTLESS NX has been formulated to be compatible with rubber seals, plastic and electronic components that are present on modern knitting machinery.
The Partnership
The INNOTAS self-cleaning system offers a 50% reduction in oil consumption, leading to absence of oil lines. As a result of reduced oil consumption, the INNOTAS achieves energy savings of 15% compared to a standard machine where the increase of power consumption is directly related to the quantity of lint accumulated.
Complimenting the above benefits, SPOTLESS NX provides an excellent oil film strength due to its high-quality formulation, maintaining high performance and achieving the same level of efficiency even with reduced oil consumption. The Vickers Oils Knitting machine lubricant leaves a low amount of oil residue on the finished fabric therefore a shorter washing cycle can be chosen, adding to the energy saving benefits.
Furthermore, SPOTLESS NX 32 has been awarded the ZDHC MRSL level 1 certification and meets the clearly defined criteria set out by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).
