Leading fashion brand Mango is continue strengthening its presence in Italy with 15 stores openings in 2024 and will exceed 100 stores in the country

  • In Rome’s main shopping street – Via del Corso, the company opens a flagship store of more than 1300 m 2 in the Alberto Sordi shopping centre.
  • For the first time Mango will arrive to the city of Genoa, after this store opening, the brand will continue the expansion particularly in central and southern Italy as well as in large northern cities such as Verona and Bologna.
  • Including the flagship store in Galleria del Corso (Milan), the company will refurbish several stores in the country to incorporate its New Med store concept. Mango’s 2024-2026 strategic plan Expand pillar, all these openings and refurbishment are part of that plan along with committed to store growth with a goal of more than 500 new openings by 2026.
  • Along with the digital presence through its own online channel and other marketplaces, Mango closed 2023 with 92 stores in Italy.

One of the leading fashion groups from Europe, Mango is continuing its expansion plan in Italy by opening around 15 stores during 2024 which will bring its total number of stores over 100 in the country by end of the year, including company stores and franchises. Additionally, New Med concept which is present in their main flagship stores around the world, company plans to refurbish several stores to incorporate New Med concept, under the expansion which is particularly focused on central and southern Italy along with capital as well as large northern cities such as Genoa, Bologna and Verona.

To offer our customers the Mango experience and getting even closer to them, the success of the store openings in 2023 reinforces the idea of moving forward in capillarity.”

Inauguration of the flagship store in Rome’s main shopping street, at Alberto Sordi shopping gallery on Via del Corso, which is the historic building, is amongst the most important store openings. The stocks products from man, woman and kids lines with selling area of more than 1300 m2 in the store. The company also plans to expand its presence in the capital with a store on Via Nazionale, one of the city’s main streets. These stores are in addition to the recent openings in the Porta di Roma and Romaest shopping centres.

For the first time, Mango is also planning to arrive in Genoa and to open its first company store in the city centre of Verona, where it already has a store in the Adigeo shopping centre.

To incorporate its Mediterranean-inspired New Med retail concept, Mango will also refurbish five stores in Italy this year, including the refurbishment of the flagship of more than 1300 m 2 in Galleria del Corso, in the historic centre of Milan. The company will also continue with its plan to refurbish stores in train stations with stores in Venice and Florence, both of which stock the Woman line.

The New Med concept aims to reflect the spirit and freshness of the brand. Sustainability and architectural integration are the key to this new design, which conceives Mango stores as a Mediterranean home with different spaces in which warm tones and neutral colours predominate, handcrafted, combined with traditional, sustainable and natural materials such as ceramic, tuff, wood, marble, esparto grass and leather.
