Taking the Fashion Sustainability narrative forward to the world stage, the Consortium of ‘Textile’ Export Promotion Councils (EPCs) with the support of the Ministry of Textiles will be hosting Bharat Tex 2024, a Global Textile Event in New Delhi from February 26 to 29. India’s rich cultural heritage and textile traditions will be showcased in this exposition to make it a promising sourcing destination for the global stage.
Imagine a tapestry woven with the threads of heritage and commerce, where every pattern, every fabric tells a story. This exhibition is where we celebrate this seamless fusion of culture and business, honoring the intricate legacy that defines us.
Highlighting India’s global strengths, its sustainability initiatives as well as position the country as a competitive global sourcing destination, Bharat Tex 2024 is envisaged to be the biggest textile event at the global level.
The mega event has been conceptualised as the biggest textile fair in the world in terms of exhibition area, showcasing India’s capabilities as reliable supplier of textile products spanning the entire value chain under one roof. Besides an exhibition showcase featuring over 3,500 exhibitors spread across 2,00,000 sq. mtrs gross area from over 40 countries, the event will also feature knowledge sessions, conferences, CEO roundtables as well as B2B & G2G meetings. Designer as well as brand exhibitions, fashion shows, sustainability workshops and expert talks shall be the other highlights of the event. Bharat Tex 2024 is being planned as a consolidated and unique platform to position and showcase India’s entire textile value chain and also highlight strengths in fashion, traditional crafts and sustainability initiatives.
The event is an industry led initiative and is proposed to be organised jointly by the 12 Textile related Export Promotion Councils (EPCs) and other industry bodies. The steering group comprises members from all 12 EPCs including Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC), Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council (TEXPROCIL), Synthetic & Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council (SRTEPC), Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH), Wool & Woolen Export Promotion Council (W&WEPC), Wool Industry Export Promotion Council (WOOLTEXPRO), Indian Silk Export Promotion Council (ISEPC), Carpet Export Promotion Council (CEPC), Power loom Development & Export Promotion Council (PDEXCIL), Handloom Export Promotion Council (HEPC), Jute Products Development Export Promotion Council (JPDEPC).
